Chatio Observatory™ is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Belgian and EU law.

We collect only the minimum data necessary: • Account registration data (name, email address, organisation, role) • Usage data (pages visited, features used, session duration) • Technical data (IP address, browser type, device type) • Communication data (messages sent via contact forms) We do not collect sensitive personal data as defined in Article 9 GDPR.
We process your data on the following lawful bases: • Contract performance: to provide the service you requested • Legitimate interests: to improve the platform and ensure security • Consent: for optional communications and analytics • Legal obligation: where required by applicable law

Account data is retained for the duration of your account plus 2 years after closure. Usage logs are retained for 12 months. Contact form data is retained for 3 years. We review retention periods annually.

Chatio Observatory™ analyses public and aggregated information. The platform is not designed to profile, score or make automated decisions about private individuals. No social scoring or behavioural profiling of users takes place.
We use carefully selected processors who provide adequate data protection guarantees. A full processor list is available upon request. All processors are bound by data processing agreements compliant with GDPR Article 28.
Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we ensure adequate protection through Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms approved by the European Commission.
